Felix & Paul Studios was a Montréal-based immersive entertainment studio founded by Félix Lajeunesse, Paul Raphaël and Stéphane Rituit. The studio's virtual reality work won Primetime Emmy Awards for The People's House, filmed inside the White House with Barack and Michelle Obama, and Space Explorers: The ISS Experience, filmed aboard the International Space Station, before it turned to large-scale location-based experiences.
I worked at Felix & Paul Studios from January 2024 to August 2026, first as a Technical Artist and, from 2025, as a Senior Technical Artist.
Role
My work centred on real-time visual development in Unreal Engine: materials and shaders, Niagara particle systems and simulations, asset integration, and profiling and optimization for virtual reality.

Interstellar Arc
Interstellar Arc was a 60-minute, free-roaming virtual reality experience at AREA15 in Las Vegas, written and directed by Félix Lajeunesse and Paul Raphaël. Groups of guests travelled aboard a vast starship bound for Arcadia, an exoplanet 11 light-years from Earth, waking from cryogenic sleep 262 years into the voyage as the ship neared its destination.
Guests walked freely through a 20,000-square-foot custom-built venue wearing Meta Quest 3S headsets. A physical set with railings matched to the virtual ship worked together with redirected walking to make the starship feel far larger than the room that contained it. The experience was built in Unreal Engine, with groups departing every 15 minutes.
